Nail enhancement is widely performed in almost every nail, unisex salon, and spas worldwide. When done right, it is a beauty to look at and the creativity is endless. Practicing this art is worth the time as the money to be made once you have developed great speed and accuracy can be satisfying. The aim is to master the art of your craft.

There are several courses available, so getting a formal education in the field is important to learn techniques, sanitization, licenses, and many more. I attended Kaizen Beauty Academy in Florida. Retrieved from https://kba.edu/

  • Wear Gloves for each client especially for the feet as bacteria can be easily transferred in the water from the client to you, even a condition called planters wart among many other conditions can be the result of negligence.

  • File the natural nails in one direction to prevent splitting.

Don'ts for Nail Technician

  • Never give a client a massage after they have shaved in less than 24 to 48 hours as their pores will be open and they might have open scratches that can be infected with the products that you are using.

  • Never massage a pregnant woman in certain areas as she can go into labor.

  • Never cut the skin around the cuticle just remove the dead cuticle after pushing it back and lifting it off the nail.

  • Never do a manicure or pedicure before carefully assessing the hands and feet, where you will check for disorders, injuries, and visible diseases.
